Hairstylist – Ladies Salon

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, experienced and professional Hairstylist to join our team at Glam Room Ladies Salon. The ideal candidate should be confident in a wide range of hair services, have excellent consultation skills, and be passionate about delivering beautiful results and an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional hair consultations and recommend suitable services based on the client’s hair type, condition and desired result.
• Perform professional blow-dries and hairstyling for different hair types and lengths.
• Perform haircuts, trims and styling according to client preferences.
• Provide professional hair coloring services, including roots, full color, toning and color refresh.
• Perform highlights, lowlights, balayage and other coloring techniques.
• Perform color correction when appropriate and confidently manage client expectations regarding achievable results.
• Provide professional hair treatments, including repair, hydration and strengthening treatments.
• Perform keratin, smoothing and other hair treatments where qualified and experienced.
• Assess the condition of the hair and scalp and recommend suitable treatments and home-care products.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of salon services, products, prices and ongoing promotions.
• Recommend suitable professional haircare products and provide clients with appropriate aftercare advice.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and sanitation standards for all tools, equipment and workstations.
• Keep the styling station clean, organized and fully prepared before and after every client.
• Maintain client records, particularly for color formulas and treatment history.
• Manage appointment timing efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.
• Work collaboratively with reception and other salon team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Build strong relationships with clients and encourage repeat visits through excellent service and professional recommendations.
• Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, products and industry developments.

Requirements:

• Previous professional experience as a Hairstylist / Hairdresser.
• Strong skills in blow-dry, styling, cutting, coloring and hair treatments.
• Good knowledge of color theory, hair types and hair condition assessment.
• Experience with highlights, balayage and modern coloring techniques is highly preferred.
• Experience with professional haircare and color brands is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a UAE ladies salon is preferred.
• Excellent consultation and customer-service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of finishing.

• Able to understand client expectations and communicate clearly before starting a service.
