This book was stuck on my bookcase for many years. I have no idea why I waited so long to read it because it is one great read! The book brings an understanding that success is not just created by that one person, that it is not the brightest who succeed. Success is not simply the sum of decisions and efforts people make on their own behalf, but it is rather a gift. Outliers are those who have been given opportunities; but not only that – they have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them.

While reading the book I kept thinking about the successful people around me, as well as about the path I’ve walked throughout my life. The book inspires you to see the uniqueness of those around you, and it’s so interesting how Gladwell brings you thoughts and insights you would never have had before.

If you haven’t read it, put it on your reading list for this year!
